"I do not mean to suggest that our handsome, newly enlarged library is to be a headquarters of busy bookworms, old and young, routinely absorbing knowledge by the hour while birds sing outside and the Mets fight it out for last place in the National League. On the contrary, a good library is a joyful place where the imagination roams free, and life is actively enriched."

—John K. Hutchens

Who We Are

The Frank Bertetti Benld Public Library was a gift to the City of Benld in 1997.  Mr. John Bertetti built the library and donated it to the community to honor his brother, Frank Bertetti.  Frank was a well loved educator in the Benld School System.

The library now offers the Benld community a well balanced collection of material for children and adults.   Programs are held for both children and adults.

Our Mission

The mission of the Frank Bertetti Benld Public Library is to offer equal access to professionally selected and well organized collection which promotes informational and educational growth and provides recreational opportunities to all community members.
