Summer Reading Program

Weekly programs are held at 10 a.m. each Wednesday

Pre-School to High School age

June 16^th – Registration from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

                          Decorate a tote bag for your books – help make a mosaic stepping-stone

                          That will be raffled off– proceeds donated to Project Kid Kare for school supplies

June 23^rd – Make a healthy summer snack with the U of I Extension Office

June 30^th – Learn to fish with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources

                  Make a craft for the 4^th of July

July 6^th to 9^th – Usborne Book Fair – books will be available to purchase.

                        Special activities on Wednesday during the book fair

July 14^th – Adopt A Pet will be visiting the library.  Bring in old stuffed animals.
July 19th - Readers Party ***NOTE*** This is a Monday.  The party will begin at 5:00 p.m.

July 21^st – The Magic of Richard Landry and Snowball.  A Magic Show for All ages.

To be eligible for prizes –

Participants must have a library card

 Be registered by June 23^rd

No fines or overdue books

Books read must be from the Benld Public Library

Collect tickets for pages read for a chance to win great prizes

Everyone will be rewarded for reading

Play Reading Bingo for prizes

25 cents candy sale– proceeds donated to Adopt A Pet

Last day to collect prize tickets is Friday, July 23rd
